This restaurant is a hidden gem. The service is outstanding. The staff is extremely professional and they go the extra yard to ensure your visit is a satisfying experience. First and foremost, the food is especially delicious and the presentation very classy and elegant. I had the chicken katsu and salmon bento box; very generous portions and cooked to perfection. The roll with the rib eye steak, asparagus, sweet potato, and topped with fried garlic and red pepper as a topping is a unique combination, but absolutely tasty and refreshing. The menu is varied and creative, and prices are reasonable, considering how all things cost more in this age. The owner is a very kind and comes from humble beginnings. Also, the sashimi pieces are thick and tasty. Again, KUDOS, and this is now are go to Japanese restaurant in Roseville. ~ Bill S

I recently visited this restaurant when my bestfriend told me I had to try it. When walking in, the owner Andi instantly remembered my buddy's name and was very welcoming. We ordered omakase and gave Andi free rein of the sushi rolls. Before he made our rolls, he offered us oysters and nigiri which were both incredibly fresh. Andi then made our omakase rolls, which he asked us a couple questions regarding what we usually like. The rolls came out very very good. Everything was not only fresh, but well thought out. Finished off the meal with mochi which was perfect. I left full and happy. You can tell the owner puts in a lot of effort into making sure you leave happy. If you’re looking for amazing sushi especially with great vegan options, do not sleep on 7 Yen Sushi. I’m so happy we stumbled across this spot! The vegan menu is HUGE (which is honestly rare) and everything we tried was absolutely incredible, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can tell a lot of thought went into creating options that aren’t just substitutions, but actually exciting and delicious in their own right. On top of that, the service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and super professional. It just made the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be back, this place is such a gem! ~ Vanessa N

Wow I love this place!! My boyfriend and I have been coming here ever since we first found it because it is the perfect spot to go for sushi lovers and vegans! I’m part Japanese and love fish and finding places that serve both fish and vegan sushi that’s more interesting than just cucumber rolls is so hard in the Sacramento area. Not only that but it’s so affordable and the rolls are so creative and so many of the ingredients they use are homemade. They make seitan shrimp, chickpea spicy tuna, you name it they have it for vegans so they’re not missing out and the flavors are bomb! The workers here are always so kind and sweet and they have an awesome diverse menu that includes Chinese food too! Plus there’s a pool table in the restaurant although I’ve never used it. This place deserves so much love because it is a true gem! If you love sushi and also dine with vegans this is a perfect place for everyone ~ Nicolle C

Forget the local "famous names" sushi restaurants and go to this venue. The owner cares to provide really well conceived and we'll executed japanese inspired food. Finally a place where the creations are not padded with excess rice or drenched in sauces. Unusual items in every section of the menu (Duck! Who knew!). It's not a low cost dinner, but it's lower cost than many places you could choose for Sushi around here, and better by far than many. In case you remember the restaurants that were here before, don't worry ... the place has been gutted inside and completely remodeled. It's all new, and all Japanese themed. ~ Stephen M

Had a great time at this restaurant. I came in town from Vegas to pick up a new pet and came upon this place due to already high reviews. Sat at the bar and ended up talking to the owner for quite a bit ( it was like catching up to an old friend). All of the staff was attentive, friendly, and all around great people. I asked for recommendations on the food and had a “party in my mouth” roll and a duck ramen. The food was as great as the staff. I left there satisfied, entertained, and content. We found 7 Yen Sushi completely by accident one day while heading to another sushi place, and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, it felt special. It’s family-owned and operated, and you can truly feel the care and pride they put into everything they do. The food is absolutely excellent, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared every time. On top of that, the family is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. What started as a happy accident has turned into one of our #1 favorite sushi spot. I really appreciate their level of customer service! I ordered online which was super easy! on one of the rolls, I had asked for no Masago, the restaurant called me a little while later to let me know that one of the other rolls I ordered also had Masago on it and asked if I would like it with or without it. I had not noticed that the other roll had Masago and I really appreciated them reaching out to make sure my order was right! The rolls came with plenty of soy sauce, ginger and wasabi. 7’ Yen Sushi Japanese restaurant has excellent reviews. I decided to try out their AYCE option. The Japanese dishes, rolls, and sashimi are delicious and fresh. However, the cook-to-order hot dishes are below average! I'll skip the hot dishes next time! The service is excellent at 7’ Yen Sushi. Every worker or owner works as hard as possible to care for the customers. They always come back to check if we need to place a new order or anything else. The dining room is a little dated but clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my yummy dinner here. ~ Michael W

Came here on a whim on a weekend evening during peak hours. Place was completely empty. The staff and family were just sort of hanging out. Everyone was very nice. They have a huge selection of sushi rolls, Chinese food, ramen, etc as well as all-you-can-eat options. Everything was well priced. I appreciated the rolls were named after Street Fighter characters. I got 3 rolls, they were prepared quickly, with fresh ingredients, and tasted great. They have a lot of rolls similar to the more popular spots out here "Blu/Mik/Ari". This might replace those spots for me. I almost don't want to leave a good review because it was so good and don't want everyone coming here. They seemed so slow though, I hope they get enough business to stick around. Other than the location and parking being a little weird, this place was great and I will be returning- although it is nice being a little hidden. 100% agree with the rest of the reviews stating this place is a hidden gem. This has quickly become my go-to place for sushi. I usually grab a book and head here to grab some all-you-can-eat, read, and have a conversation or two with the owner who's a really great guy. It's never too crowded, no crying babies or children to speak of, so the atmosphere is awesome and quiet enough to just chill and eat in peace. The fish is always fresh, the sushi is made to order (with options for only getting half-rolls if you don't want a whole one), and the AYCA includes sashimi and nigiri. Stumbled on to this place one night while I was looking for something to eat with my fiance. It was their grand opening so we decided to go ahead and try it. Sushi was excellent here! The chef is the owner and he puts pride and passion into his food and it really shows. Our server was just as top notch and made really good conversation! Scenery and decorations inside were pretty cool too. We will definitely be coming back soon, again and again, especially if the sushi stays as good. ~ Karim

Amazing sushi and very different from the larger, more "popular" sushi restaurants. We've been twice now and the customer service is fantastic! There was no wait and the staff is so nice and very helpful in explaining the different items. And the chef will create a special roll for you if you just tell him what you don't like. He made an amazing role with mango and guacamole that was like nothing we've ever had before. We will 100% go back! So good! ~ Cory H

Beautiful atmosphere, perfect service, and i think their food was so delicious! I admit, it's extremely hard to cater to a person with diet restrictions plus food allergies. These lovely people at 7' Yen Sushi aced that one instantly. They, suggested certain substitutes, asked the cook what they could do, and voila!! This place is awesome! They offer so many different kinds of sushi, and if you love ramen, you're in for a treat. My family and I tried a variety of dishes, and everything was absolutely delicious. Blown away is an understatement. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time. Finally, I got my chance. More amazing, I got to go while the VCC is happening! Delicious! I enjoyed all my rolls and the 99 cent sake bomb helped! ❤️ So many vegan options and non vegan options! Employees were friendly and welcoming! The ambience is cute but modern. Best place of sacramento, I have never had any service comparable to this place. People who are well-mannered/genteel, professional, with a smile on their face, and they don't seem frowning or grumpy as the other similar restaurants. The food was perfect, nothing to complain about, fast service. The music volume was nice. Their all-you-can-eat have a good variety of items and the price is reasonable. Not only was the food amazing, but the service was above and beyond! My husband and I ate here a few nights ago to celebrate his birthday and we’re so glad we did! Prices were really good, bento box with 2 items for $17 and the roll for the bento option came out with eight pieces; and the food was all delicious! Veggie options were good and there were a few- the veggie gyozas are so good! We cannot wait to go back! ~ Hailey F

Came to Roseville for physical therapy session and couldn't leave without stopping at this wonderful place. Our experience was still a solid 5 stars! My niece and I were walk-ins and got seated right away. Our server was sweet and very attentive. We ordered the 7 Yen Roll, 2-item Bento, Dragon Roll and Yellowtail Truffle Carpaccio. Came here for lunch and it was amazing, we will definitely be back. The restaurant was clean and cool. The staff was friendly and the service was great. The food was incredible. We ordered the Dragonfly, Zangief, Chun-li, and Ken sushi rolls. Each one was beautifully plated and the fish tasted fresh. It was absolutely delicious and high quality. This place is excellent. Went for the extensive new vegan menu and it did not disappoint. Food was amazing, the people are all so kind and generous and they really give you a lot of bang for your buck. Left with full and happy bellies, very satisfied and would recommend everyone to try out. Even if you don’t like sushi the menu is HUGE so there is something for everyone. What’s not to like?! What a hidden gem! We were on the hunt for a good AYCE sushi spot and I think we found our go-to. Everything we had was delicious. Love how you can do 1/2 orders so we were able to try almost every single item on the menu. Service was excellent, all the staff greeted us and we immediately felt welcomed. The man who served us (forgot his name) was very kind. Definitely worth the price and already can't wait to go back! ~ Carol L

In a nutshell; Great place, Great fam. That runs the place. Great food. One of the few places that serve good ramen that stay open a little later compared to other ramen places in the area. Sushi does seem to be their bread and butter though and a good variety of choices at that. Service was good. Good amount of seats and table. Good place to consider if you're having a bit of a late dinner. ~ Sly C
